Slurs are not oppressive because they are offensive, they are oppressive because slurs by nature of being slurs draw upon certain power dynamics to remind their target of his/her/their vulnerability in a certain relation to power and as an extension of that, to threaten violence and exploitation of that vulnerability.

OKAY SO I JUST MADE THIS AND IM NOT SURE HOW TO FEEL ABOUT IT
If you ever hate or are embarrassed by the Naruto fandom, just remember it didn’t join in an alliance with One Piece and Bleach and make something embarrassing like SuperWhoLock.
Why can't you just say it's rude to make fun of people's eyebrows? Does everything have to be about feminist/not feminist so you can shame someone as much as possible for it? Hold back.
this is a really dumb message and you’re not gonna listen to me but im gonna explain this anyway
most of the people I see doing this are self-proclaimed feminists. and a core feminist belief is to let women and girls make personal decisions that only affect them that make them happy. another is that women shouldn’t be valued only for their appearance. I think the eyebrow thing goes against both those beliefs.
like honestly, if someone likes the way their eyebrows look, let them be. some peoples eyebrows naturally grow with more exaggerated arches, sometimes the hair is a little sporadic, some people like their eyebrows penciled in dark, and guess what? it literally doesn’t affect you at all! and the notion that everyone who does their eyebrows should do them a specific way or they’re something worth mocking implies that 1) women should make personal decisions that you approve of and 2) women’s values are based on their eyebrows (their physical appearance)
and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that you don’t see too many men made fun of for their eyebrows except that one basketball player. it’s something people do to low key shame women or anyone who presents as feminine.
so tl;dr it IS rude to make fun of peoples eyebrows but it has more serious social implications than just rudeness
